The Society holds several tulip shows and events throughout each year including its Annual Main Show during May, and its AGM in October.

The Society also organises other events and activities for its members and has included visits to see tulips or other florists' flowers of historical or garden interest.

Tulip Society visits Sweden
In June 2011 members of the Tulip Society made a special trip to stay in Halmstad, Sweden. A group of members in Sweden formed a committee to organise a visit to the Linnaeus Garden in Råshult.
Linnaeus' birth home in Råshult is one of Sweden's ten cultural reservations, with traditional herb gardens, and old fashioned kitchen garden, wildflower meadows, and horse ploughed fields.
